I love conducting research, digging through data, dissecting human behavior, and translating my discoveries into better design.
My sociology background has taught me to question everything. How did pink and blue become associated with gender? How has Instagram and Facebook's introduction of Stories affected Snapchat's usage? What's the effectiveness of Tinder's "Super Likes" (I'm just asking for a friend).
Even though design is often regarded as subjective and abstract, I like to approach my designs scientifically. I form an assumption. Quickly test it. Analyze the results. And then adjust accordingly. I'm constantly looking for that "a-ha" moment. Sometimes it can be found as a result in an A/B test. Sometimes it can be found by simply talking to a user.
